Hello, my name is Todd M. Weber, PhD, RD and I started Energy Balance Nutrition Consulting (EBNC) in February of 2014, shortly after completing my PhD.  I started EBNC as a creative outlet to voice my opinion, collect my thoughts, and attract and help clients with their diet goals, most of which were weight loss.

EBNC was my part time nutrition coaching business (mostly content creation and blogging to tell you the truth) that I did alongside teaching nutrition and exercise physiology at colleges and universities in the Denver, CO metro.  The pandemic of 2020 hit, which put a hold on my teaching, and I decided it was more important for my family to stay at home with my 9-month-old daughter (I was lucky enough to be in a position to do so).

During naps and night times I was working behind the scenes on a new endeavor.  It has taken a long time, but all of this work has turned into three websites, The Paper Database, The Science of Dieting, and Lifestyle Reboot.

Without diving into too many details, I built a 5000+ database of scientific papers on anything and everything related to obesity (The Paper Database), a nutrition-based weight loss company (The Science of Dieting), and I partnered with Geof Shuford of Phoenix Fitness to start a 15-week weight loss program encompassing nutrition, exercise, and mindset (Lifestyle Reboot).

My efforts moving forward (2023 on) will be focused on The Science of Dieting and Lifestyle Reboot.  The Paper Database is an amazing resource for anyone who wants to read the scientific literature on weight loss.  It is a resource the likes of which the weight loss industry has never seen.  But my mission isn’t just to provide/produce information.  It’s to help people lose weight, get healthier, and live more satisfying lives. 

This is why I have chosen to focus my efforts on The Science of Dieting and Lifestyle Reboot.  I will be keeping EBNC online indefinitely, as it is chalk full of cool information.  But if you’re looking for something even bigger and better, please join me at The Science of Dieting and Lifestyle Reboot.  Hopefully you can learn a few things that can better your life or improve the lives of your clients or students.  Thank you so much for your support.  It really means a lot.
